Just compiled and it automatically displayed on my hdmi tv at 1080p with my usb3 version. Very cool! Thanks for the great work!
My first test was to try a youtube video, and there was pretty noticeable screen tearing (but audio worked great!). I tried a few things (changing resolution) and it seems what improved things was going from the 60 Hz refresh rate (which was the automatically selected one) to the only other option: 59.94 Hz. Both say "Vsync" next to the Hz in the selection option in the Ubuntu / Cinnamon DE - "Display" settings window.
Not sure if this is helpful info or a bug or what. I do know that on my other machine, which has a dual nvidia display with nvidia drivers, I have to set it to do "force composition pipeline" to get rid of screen tearing. In case that is useful too. Thanks again
