Hi OM -

It's a fascinating device. I have to say, I haven't worn a watch in nearly 30 years.

At least the battery is replaceable! %^) (unlike my phone)

I'm truly curious - what do you have in mind? It doesn't have GPS. I wonder how simple it could be to set parameters. Would this be a tool to receive messages on? I suppose it could have the same kind of interface that Ricardo's trackers do, except without self-position. The display could be a little more verbose, showing the RSSI and SNR of signals received along with the message.

The range would be modest, I suspect. Do you locally have a LoRa network that this could communicate on? I ask because here in Phoenix there is just me, and I'm urging others to experiment!
