Often doesn't keep clipboard entries and/or creates lots of duplicates

Hi,

1. I can't figure out what triggers Clipboard Manager to save an entry. Some times it works as expected. In other cases I'll clip some text and go to paste it in a different window and instead it pastes the prior clipboard entry because it didn't save the most recent one.

2. It's fairly frequent that I'll copy some text, and if I look at the clipboard history I find it has completely filled the history with duplicates of what I just copied.

How do I go about troubleshooting this?

I hope you were able to fix this since it's been over a year, but...

A listener is attached to chrome.clipboard.onClipboardDataChanged by manager.js during init; it's part of the API listed here:
https://developer.chrome.com/apps/clipboard

The documentation says the clipboard API is only available on the dev channel, but it's available in Stable for Chrome OS. It's likely to be deprecated in favor of the Asynchronous Clipboard API soon.
