Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. compile app with current latest version of rive flutter legacy.
2. build an apk and analyze using android studio apk analyzer
3. Scroll down to librive_text.so
4. See error 16KB⚠️ in the alignment

Error for the future requirement of Android app:

Libraries that do not support 16 KB:
base/lib/arm64-v8a/librive_text.so
base/lib/x86_64/librive_text.so

is there any quick way to resolve this, like exclude the Rive text lib from the bundle?

starting Nov 1, 2025 (51 days to go) Google Play Console requires all apps targeting Android 15+ to support 16KB page size, otherwise devs can not release an update

Yes we need to recompile CPP binaries(rive_text) in rive_common package.

Note that from 0.14.0 we precompile the libraries for you - so if you're using that version, then you should be fine. But if you're running into this issue on 0.13.x, then it's entirely in your control, by setting the correct Gradle config when building the native code (the Rive native libs are built locally, we don't package them)

Can I please know how to access rive_common source code?

@HayesGordon I feel the whole issue is coming from rive_common build.gradle, please update it. And until the issue is resolved can you please keep the issue open. I tried all the possible options and still it doesn't work, can you please document how to do it?

• in gradle.properties add:

• made sure it's the same ndkVersion in app/build.gradle

I'm trying to understand how to make librive_text.so compatible with 16 KB page size and unfortunately despite:

• using required NDK 28.2.13676358
• using latest gradle and AGP 8.13.0 and Kotlin 2.2.20
• and following the official guide https://developer.android.com/guide/practices/page-sizes#groovy_1

The analysis of the release apk still shows that rive_text is not compatible

Is it because I'm using rive and rive_native at the same time?
