Description
“The Rive dev team primarily works on MacOS. There is some work done by the community to also support Windows and Linux.”
As it seems to be explicitly stated in the README, the cpp-runtime has been specifically targeted towards Mac OSX, and any Windows/Linux support is simply an after-thought that’s been driven by the community. This seems like a very strange decision. Considering the project-wide emphasis on supporting as many runtimes as it does, you would think there would also be explicit emphasis on making the cpp-runtime as multi-platform as possible.
You would think that a comprehensive windows build guide could at the very least be created.
I understand the developers use Macs, but this entire project is designed to be supported by MULTIPLE different runtimes. It is completely outrageous the developers have chosen such a, frankly, openly negligent stance on providing support for other OS build. The quoted text from the README makes it seems that even supporting other OS's other than OSX wasn't even their plan at all until the community made them.
