Wondering if we will get a new update that allows multiplayer with the pc port...like crossplay?

There is currently cross play with Linux on Desktop PC for version 36.1 servers. You can use this by having the person who has PC install Linux and then compile this repository. If you want to do that then I can help you do that. but if it's too much of a hassle, which makes sense, you can just wait for #19 which has information about the future cross play with Windows that doesn't work right now.

chained together is a closed source game therefore it is not possible to mod it without using assembly language or decompiling it. you should decompile chained together and then we can write mods for it in C++ like Super Mario 64 which was also a closed source game but then after 23 years it became fully open source because of being decompiled so you should also decompile chained together

oh you mean to rewrite that game as a mod in sm64ex-coop, in that case yes you can I recommend using this editor and here is the Lua API reference for version 36.1 and whenever version 37+ Lua API comes to Android then you can use that one instead but not yet
