This almost always means a local file or folder is shadowing the installed package. If there is a file named supervision.py (or a directory supervision/) in your working directory, or anywhere earlier on sys.path, then import supervision picks that up instead of the library and sv.Detections does not exist. The "most likely due to a circular import" hint is Python pointing at exactly this situation.

Quick check:

import supervision
print(supervision.__file__)

If that prints a path inside your own project rather than something under site-packages, rename your local supervision.py (and delete the matching __pycache__/). If it does point to site-packages, then run pip install --upgrade supervision and confirm there is no partial or interrupted install.
