Furure Provider does not throw error

Hi I am making a simple login with riverpod

My login function

    });

    final login = loginFutureProvider(
      LoginRequest(
        username: _usernameController.text.trim(),
        password: _passwordController.text.trim(),
      ),
    ).future;
    try {
      await ref.read(login);
    } catch (e) {
      if (!mounted) return;
      showError(context, 'Login Failed: $e');
    } finally {
      if (mounted) {
        setState(() {
          _isLoading = false;
        });
      }
    }
  }

And my provider is

  final repo = ref.watch(loginApiRepoProvider);
  final result = await repo.login(loginCredentials);

  return result.when(
    success: (data) async {

        ref.read(authManagerProvider.notifier).login();
      } else {
        throw 'Failed to save tokens';
      }

    },

});

My problem is that the code throws the error and thats it the catch and finally blocks are not reached

When I tried calling the repo from the screen direct it worked fine

But when calling with the future provider catch and finally blocks not execute

It was working fine before upgrading to flutter_riverpod: ^3.0.3
