A little disappointed not to have received any guidance at all, but I've solved the issue. The problem was my "hosts" file, stored in folder /private/etc - mine was zero bytes. Entering the following resolved the issue for me: NOTE: File may need moving to your desktop and back again, due to permissions. |

I'm normally pretty tech-savvy (it's my job), but I cannot get Midi2LR to connect to Lightroom, it just shows the "Not connected to Lightroom" red banner after launching.
I'm using a Mini Mac M2, running Sequoia 15.7.3 (24G412)
Lightroom Classic - 15.0.1
Midi2LR version 6.2.1.0
I downloaded the latest installer and accepted all the defaults - it installed the plugin in the Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules folder, as expected. No issue at all. Whenever I launch Lightroom Classic, Midi2LR is launching.
I've connected my Midi controller (Arturia Beatstep) and attached via USB. There's no issue in communication between the controller and the software, every keypress/turn is showing up in the program, so that part is working. It's just the connection to Lightroom that never shows.
I've checked my system settings, Firewall is disabled, but if I try to execute the following in terminal - I get a "Connection refused" message:
nc -vz 127.0.0.1 58763
I've tried seeing if the port is in use by executing the following, but I get no response (indicating that nothing is using this port):
netstat -an | grep 58763
So, it doesn't appear as if the port is currently in use, Firewall is turned off, but I cannot figure out how to ensure communication to the port is open. Everything I've searched for just tells me how to do it in my router, but this is a localhost address, I'm not trying to communicate outside of it.
I've tried:
Uninstalling (including a complete removal of files from the Applicatoin Data folder), reinstallation. I've tried installing it into a different folder. I am completely stuck.
I've enabled console logs and I see a few entries related to MIDI2LR:

I've even tried using some network sniffing tools, to see if the ports are being rejected but I haven't been able to find/capture anything.
It all seems like it might be related to the ports, but I'm not entirely sure. Can anyone give advices?
No firewall, antivirus completely disabled, still the issue persists.
Appreciate any guidance!
