Radio not initialized (tried several pin schemes)

Hi, I'm using an ESP32 Nodemcu -32 v1.3 from AZ-Delivery. According to the documentation, this is the pinning scheme:

I've connected the ESP32 to the CC1101 antenna using dupont cables (not a solder hero), based upon your suggested pinning scheme at the wiki.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get the radio initialized. I've changed the TX/RX to GPIO1/GPIO3, GPIO17/GPIO16 (the wiring as well as the configuration of the transceiver.

Please find enclosed the logs from web.esphome.io I can see several times that an error occurred setting up the radio:

I have tried several ESP-boards btw, but unfortunately it did not help. So, I think the wiring is wrong but I have no clue how to fix it. I surely hope you can help me out.
