Hi there, as far as I'm aware, Dawarich runs reverse geocoding on a nightly schedule. Around 1:15am iirc. |

Hi Team,
May I please clarify a few details here?
I've been trying to reduce the number of running hours of my dawarich and photon instances to save resources and power. I'm running dawarich and photon as docker containers, each on a separate LXC, and both on my Proxmox server. Dawarich is configured to communicate with the photon server via a local IP address. I've scheduled the photon server to be turned on 3-4 hours a day, and dawarich server turned on about 10 minutes after the photon server is up, assuming that when starting, dawarich app would need to check photon availability first. And I've been monitoring the number of reverse geocoded points to verify my findings.
Looks like my assumption is wrong, because the number of geocoded points would increased for sometimes a day although new points have been uploaded. The number of geocoded points will eventually increase but not immediately. I want to understand the logics here so I can optimise my workflow.
Many thanks!
