This is a dataset of river flow, based on satellite information, suggested by Anne Verhoef from GLASS panel from Albert van Dijk [email protected]
This would be an alternative to other streamflow measurements. Streamflow not currently evaluated in ILAMB, so this is something for the future.
• River flow estimates are based on the automated measurement of river width in satellite imagery (Hou et al., 2022). Where historical ground station measurements of river flows are available, those are used to calibrate so-called satellite gauging reaches. Where ground stations are not available, historical modelled data were used for calibration.
