I want to start to make 1st gem

I want to start to make 1st gem aka introduction or 1-st steps in ruby. Is it ok?
I gonna use nodejs school workshoper as example. For start i'l write README.md (and while make some plan) then i'll try to build gem with info from Ruby in 20 minutes, Codeacademy, etc.
I want to do this, cuz for now my skills in ruby a bit higher then level of this gem and i think i can deal with it and grow up at the same time.

@wack17s sure, let's start. think about naming and we can create a separate repo for this gem.
Also, check if you can use https://github.com/wbailey/kata for creating that.
