Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
While entry level avionics software kits exist in communities like avionicsduino, there's very little in the mid level between experimental light aircraft and the massive commercial rtos fms avionics suites for the aspiring engineer. I started writing my own rust libraries with the intent to have a design that is at least safety aware, deterministic, and support graphical apis like vulkan while only being built on top of the core library. This is because spaces in that domain are vastly proprietary and out of reach of communities external to the commercial space. I'm interested in this consortium for more than a few reasons, and wish to take some baby steps for deeper understanding.
