Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
I worked at JUCR, GmbH until recently when they went bankrupt. I worked on software that powered the EV charging stations, in Rust. Next month, I'm joining Codethink, where among other things, I'll be hopefully involved in their efforts to create a Linux-based OS for safety-critical devices. I previously also worked for Mercedes-Benz, where safety is extremely critical. My future employer, Codethink will very much like me to be part of this consortium.
Besides working for employers in areas where safety is critically important, my open source projects are used in these spaces. For example, Mercedes-Benz was already using zbus in their Vans before I got in touch with them.
I'm also personally very passionate about Rust in general but especially in embedded systems, which are typically where safety is paramount.
I'm asking for "Observer" role for now but hopefully I'll be able to move to "Producer" in the near future.
