Why are you interested in joining the Safety Critical Rust Consortium?
I have lately began developing an internal application for a government program here in Peru (through a contract for service) and, as a Rust user/developer, I'd love to help out set the necessary bases to standardize the language as much as possible to ease the adoption of the language in government software. I have found Rust to be the best option for my needs because of its low resource usage and safety, which is crucial for government agencies and programs that don't have a big budget or are working with few tech resources. This could also help critical systems for society such as the registration of legal reports in agencies that have to work 24/7 (like centers dedicated to attend cases of violence).
