use variables to filter tags / search box to filter annotation list

I would love to filter the annotation list based on a variable. This helps when you wanted to filter a list of annotations based on the application name that was already added as a tag in the annotation.

Or a simple partial search filter (search box) on top of the panel that will help the user search for a partial string to filter the list.
