Proposal: Extended Goals Features

I’ve been working with the Goals section and built some improvements that I believe could be very useful for the project.

🚀 Features

1. View Entries (Pages / Actions)

• Directly display entries matched on pages or actions depending on what was selected.
• Makes debugging and validation much faster.

2. Custom Ordering of Goals

• Ability to manually reorder goals according to importance.

3. Grouping Under Campaigns

• Added a hierarchical view:
  • Main campaigns (e.g., Facebook, Google, etc.)
  • Sub-goals nested inside each campaign.
• This helps keep goals better organized and easier to track.

4. Ecommerce Page Preview

• Goals now show a preview of the ecommerce page where the event happened.
• Displays product(s) contained in that page for quick context.

5. Quick Access to User / Session

• From each goal, you can jump directly to the user or session that triggered it.
• Alternatively, open a modal with page/session details for fast context.

6. Duplicate Goals

• Added a duplicate function to quickly clone an existing goal with all its settings.

7. API Refetch Button

• Added a refetch/update option to refresh goal data from the API without waiting for the global refresh cycle.

8. Search with Pattern Matching

• Implemented a search feature similar to SQL LIKE, using #word# for pattern identification.
• Example:
  • #fbclid# → matches all goals where the Facebook campaign parameter appears.
  • #gclid# → matches Google Ads campaign identifiers.
  • Works with any campaign or tracking parameter that is explicitly marked.
