Make a video explaining the practical side of observing an exoplanet transit, thus getting data to use in EXOTIC, applicable for all self-owned/uni/school telescopes, MObs, and LCO.

Expected length: 30 - 60min

Topics covered:

  • Basic theory (lightcurve, comparison stars, ...)
  • Camera/sensor characteristics and settings (full well, nonlinearity, binning, ...)
  • Telescope & mount choice and useage (aperture, focal length in combination with camera, meridian flips, ...)
  • Explanation of image calibration methods (darks, flats, bias)
  • Best practices and resolving common issues
  • Link to further reading & EW Slack for questions
