there is probably a lot of documentation missing. I think documenting the autobids.sh functionality would be great

added in the docs-branch in commit a724565. Not made a PR yet, as we were thinking of making it a pip installable package (feature already in branch pip-release).

Will merge both and make a PR after we have finalized the flow.
