ESP32 S3 N16R8 CAM - which Board in Arduino IDE?

I have bought from Ali the Board ESP32-S3-CAM WROOM N16R8 with two USB-C Inputs.
But I am not able to upload the Code to this board.
If I choose the AI Thinker ESP32-Cam I get an error after compiling:

A fatal error occurred: This chip is ESP32-S3, not ESP32. Wrong chip argument?

If I choose a ESP32-S3 board, there are many but none with CAM in it. I tried the ESP32-S3-USB-OTG and here I get the error:

That board has 16 MB Flash and 8 MB PSRAM, I doubt the sketch could be too big.

So is this ESP32-S3-Cam board supported at all?
Which board should I select or what do I need to add/uncomment in the appGlobals.h?

OK, thank you, but which Board should I select in Arduino IDE 2.3.6?

I think depending on that the selection of the Partition Schemes (in Tools) is reduced and e.g. with the AI Thinker ESP32-Cam Board, I cannot select 16MB(3MB APP...) and neither with the ESP32-S3-USB-OTG there is the max. 8M.

First I tried the Board "Fri3D Badge 2024 (ESP32-S3-WROOM-1)" with Partition "16M Flash (3MB App/9.9MB FATFS)" and now I could send it to the ESP32-S3 :)
I got then an AP as expected "ESP-CAM_MJPEG_3C317E33E864" and could connect to it with 192.168.4.1 and enter my WiFi credentials.
I see it in my router now as 192.168.0.174 and lastly I got the Cam website :)
But there is no stream.
I have the OV5640 Cam, I read:

The OV5640 and OV3660 pinouts are compatible with boards designed for the OV2640 but the voltage supply is too high for their internal 1.5V regulator, so the camera overheats unless a heat sink is applied.

Indeed its quite hot!
Could it be, that this is the reason, there is no stream?

But instead of a heat sink, is there no better way to get the fitting voltage for the OV5640?

On my Mac I compiled with these settings:

and after some playing with the resolution, setting it higher, to FHD, I eventually got a kind of stream!
But more a picture than a stream, the delay was immense, maybe 1 frame per 15 seconds or less. And not really reproducable, maybe when too hot it stops working.
Best working it is with resolution UXGA, FPS is 1 but this is no difference to 5.

On my two other ESP-Cam (with OV2640) I only could set VGA (with 5 FPS) and higher rates didnt work, the ESP didnt boot then.

So with this OV5640 the ESP32-S3 is unusable (EDIT: wrong, it is still working after a day, the heating seems not that much). I thought with this better ESP it could be faster and better resolution but it is worse than the smaller ESP which at least has a constantly working stream (about 2 FPS).
Its experimenting and mostly a hobby. A very time consuming hobby 😏

Which of my compiling settings could be the culprit, that the settings under "Camera Control" are always reset to the default:

and I can read that in Serial Monitor, or sometimes there is a little note at the bottom of the site, but after a while it is reset to the default. I guess this is saved in an area where the memory is volatile and not permanent. But how could I change that?

Motion detect is also always disabled, I enable it and after a while its disabled, the setting is not saved.

Exactly this I did. But it is not saved after a while the defaults are back.

When I have the ESP32S3 connected in Arduino IDE 2 I can see an entry in the Serial Log about saving, no error, when I press 'Save Settings'.
In the GUI, without cable to PC, I see sometimes a message at the bottom that it is saved. But after a while it is back to default.
Thats why I ask, if the Settings are maybe in the wrong storage, some RAM or such, not in the ROM, not permanent.
Possible?
What could I do to check?

It might be a bug. After a reboot the settings are always reset to default.

Hi everyone. I’ll support the topic for this ESP32-S3 model. I have the same model with all the specifications. In the settings, it is indeed set as ESP32-S3 Dev

and it works, but the webserver at 192.168.4.1 does not work.

Strange, I had the "Failed to send to browser Error" only after setup the wifi (input the login of the local wifi to the ESP) and when the ESP had an own IP in the local network (e.g. 192.168.0.174 in my case).
And sometimes that error is still popping up after reboot. I off-on then again and the ESP starts then.
But important is, that the power supply is strong enough!

EDIT: and I assume, that your phone-browser where you have input the 192.168.4.1 is connected to the ESP access point?
To the AP SSID: ESP-CAM_MJPEG_ACC9B89E139C ???
