Text input with Pen unreliable

Describe the bug

Dear all,

thanks for this opensource. I am on Anroid 16 with pen support handwriting recognition (ThinkTab X11 Gen1). Text input in other APPs works reliably. In Saber when adding a textbox, the pen input is not grabbed uniformly.

To reproduce

1. Install 1.34.2
2. Ensure Android handwriting recognition is enabled
3. Open Whiteboard
4. Add textbox and enter pen written text with handwriting recognition
5. Shift paper space with two finger
6. Write again on the same spot with pen => no character recognition

Expected behavior

When I click on a text field it should enable pen input for hand writing in a space intersecting the text.
