Description
A quick scan of the unit conversion tool shows some missing unit opportunities (many of these are common in the US or have other significance):
Energy:
watt-second: 1 Ws = 1 J
watt-hour: 1 Wh = 3600 J
kilowatt-hour: 1 kWh = 3600000 J (for anyone who has ever paid a utility bill)
British thermal unit (thermal): 1 Btuth ≈ 1054.35026448889 J (Aligns with existing cal definition of 1 calth = 4.184 J)
Optionally, you may consider:
International (Steam) Table calorie: 1 calIT = 4.1868 J
International (Steam) Table Btu: 1 BtuIT = 1055.05585262 J
Power:
ton of refrigeration: 1 TR = 12000 BtuIT/h = 3516.85284206667 W
Mass:
short ton: 1 ton, short = 2000 lb (the most commonly used "ton" in the US)
Temperature:
Rankine: 1 ºR = 9/5 * K (alright, no one uses it, but it's common enough and there's not a lot of other temperature units)
Length:
ångström: 1 Å = 10-10 m
There's almost certainly more you could pull from sources like NIST, but those are some common ones.
