It seems that a lot of scientist love to refer to PDPK1 as PDK1 in their papers (e.g. : “This molecule recruits protein kinase B (PKB, also called Akt) and phosphoinositide-dependent kinase 1 (PDK-1). PDK-1 phosphorylates and activates PKC” from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2504631/), which is actually a completely different gene of its own.
This leads to omnipath containing a lot of entries for PDK1 interactions that actually are PDPK1 interactions.
