Trying to look at the subscription page with fresh eyes, inspired by a polite user who tried to figure out how to pay for a subscription using the balance, but didn't succeed, even after being in the right place:

I had managed to go to the subscriptions but didn't notice the checkbox in the upper left. I saw the box for purchase subscription on the right and looked for something in the listing of the subscriptions below (like a check box). I then went to payment methods as, in my mind, I wanted to change the payment method. Maybe I'm just trained with stores like Amazon where I have all of the choices in one place.

I think the problem is, especially on big screens, that important things are very far from each other. So, maybe we can:

  1. Get rid of the redundant second header.
  2. Move the check box under subscriptions header, closer to the list of existing subscriptions (if someone cares about it, probably there is a subscription configured already).
  3. Move the button to purchase a subscription to be on right from the checkbox with the explanation. Maybe the other way around is better, but I thought it would be nice to "force" the user to read the checkbox text before purchasing a subscription.
  4. It may be useful to keep in mind that most users will have only one subscription, not 5 or 100.
