4. Ensemble experience

   • Band, orchestra, choir membership duration

5. Music theory training

   • Years of formal theory instruction

6. Perfect pitch / relative pitch abilities

   • Self-reported or tested

7. Primary vs secondary instruments ranking

   • Proficiency levels

8. Motivation for playing

   • Intrinsic vs extrinsic factors
