Maybe there should be a tutorial on hosting the latest Sakai LMS version?

I really would like to contribute, I come from Node.JS but the vision matters more than stack, I think after hosting I'd be able to tweak stuff and eventually contribute but I've been trying on and off to host it to no success, I tried a night a few years ago, now the past week and came close but not to host it in tomcat completely successfullly. I'm making it messier then it should be.
