List of bugs in version 2.4.1

1. No cover art in popup #282
2. The player blacklist doesn't work.
   After adding an application to the blacklist in the extension settings and launching media files in this application, the extension still displays it (despite restarting the DE)
3. Incorrect display of media time
   After launching a new media file, the timer doesn't start counting down in the extension panel, and the slider doesn't move.
   The countdown and slider only start moving upon initial activation. This happens after launching each new media file.
4. OS freeze
   The OS starts freezing for a couple of seconds (1-2, sometimes around 5)
   when switching media files. The problem does not occur immediately, but only when scrolling through media files in one application after some time.

5. The ability to remove the player from the notification center
   I'm not sure, but the previous version had this feature. If not, then it's not a bug but a feature suggestion. If yes, then it doesn't work in the new version.

Additional context
Bugs number one, two, four and five (not sure if this is a bug) appeared only in the new release

Environment:

• Distro: Ubuntu 24.04
• GNOME version 46
• Extension Version 2.4.1 (extension manager is displayed 43)

I'll also add there's issues with icons.

• On some cases, it displays a generic music note icon instead of the one of the app playing the media. (In my case this happened with FreeTube)
• On other cases it doesn't respect the monochrome setting (In my case it was with Librewolf)

i do have the OS lagging issue as well, it starts with 2-5 seconds freezes when i start a video on browser and can lead to the entire OS freezing completely.

I forgot to mention the volume control bug initially.
In the settings, there's an option to configure the edge control to scroll.
However, this feature doesn't work.
(The bug appeared a long time ago and isn't related to recent updates.)

Interestingly, I only started getting the OS freeze after upgrading to v2.4.4.
Just downgraded to v2.4.2 and have not had it occur yet.

On v2.4.4, it primarily occured when switching tracks (either ending/beginning one, or jumping to the next), though I did get it a couple times when pausing/unpausing. Interestingly, I also got it when arranging tracks in a queue (I'm using Harmonoid); Every time I moved one the whole OS would freeze momentarily. The only reason I figured out it was this extension, was because disabling Media Controls and then arranging tracks in queue didn't result in a freeze.
