Our Commitment

We're building dropup in the open, and we want everyone to feel welcome here.

Whether you're opening your first issue, submitting a PR, or just asking a question — you belong here. We're committed to providing a friendly, safe, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of:

  • Age, body size, or physical appearance
  • Disability (visible or invisible)
  • Ethnicity, nationality, or race
  • Gender identity and expression
  • Level of experience or education
  • Personal background or beliefs
  • Religion or lack thereof
  • Sexual identity and orientation

What We Expect

Be kind. That's really it. But here are some specifics:

Positive Behaviors

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language
  • Respect different viewpoints and experiences
  • Accept constructive feedback gracefully
  • Focus on what's best for the community
  • Show empathy to others
  • Help newcomers feel welcome
  • Give credit where it's due

Unacceptable Behaviors

  • Sexualized language, imagery, or unwanted attention
  • Trolling, insults, or derogatory comments
  • Personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Dismissing or attacking someone's identity or background
  • Any conduct inappropriate in a professional setting

Maintainer Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for:

  • Clarifying standards of acceptable behavior
  • Taking fair corrective action when needed
  • Removing, editing, or rejecting contributions that violate this code
  • Banning contributors (temporarily or permanently) for harmful behavior

Where This Applies

This Code of Conduct applies:

  • In all project spaces (issues, PRs, discussions, code reviews)
  • In public spaces when representing the project
  • When using official project accounts or communications

Reporting Issues

See something? Say something.

Report violations to: Create a private issue

All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. We will maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident.

Enforcement

Maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the project's leadership.

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
