Unclear About Packages in Canta's Trashbin: Does Deleting them forfeit ability to restore?

Hi there, I see somebody else here asked where Canta backs up the APKs and although that question was kind of answered, it wasn't really. The maintainer said they hadn't drilled down to check but that it is Android that restores the packages, not Canta.

I have read in various Reddit forums that it is perfectly save to uninstall both Canta and Shizuku since you can always reinstall them later and restore the missing packages but is that true? Wouldn't uninstalling Canta also remove Canta's log files? Even if it doesn't remove log files will the fresh application of Canta automatically look for them?

Also -- I've got 140 odd packages now in my Canta trashbin. If I delete them from the bin, do I forfeit the ability to restore them automatically?

This is a superb tool but the documentation is more than a little hazy.

Using Canta took no time at all relative to debloating with ADB, which is what I used in the past. It was so quick, I got a single confirmation notice to delete all 140 packages and a second later they were in the trashbin, without any kind of popup letting me know I was done.

First off, sorry for sparse documentation - as a developer, the stuff is kinda self explanatory to me so I often don't know what should be written.

Yeah, you can safely uninstall Canta - since Android stores the APKs still, it's "safe" to do it. Canta uses the same SDK as pm cli (package manager in ADB). At startup, it "parses" the app list and categorizes the apps - the uninstalled ones go in the uninstalled tab, installed ones land in the main tab.

Note however that this is only true for the system apps - user apps apks are NOT bcaked up by Android.
