possibel to use 3G sim card

hi i have some questions about the proxy gambit .
is it possible to use a 3G sim card instead of a 2G one?
and the FONA GSM board is available in european version, can i just replace it and do i have to change something in the software or can i use it 1:1?

You can use the FONA 3G version, the code may need some minor changes.
