When and where to start

As I have been out of touch, kindly let me know when and from where I should start.
I feel that Scott corrections are being processed by @funderburkjim till 26 November 2025.
I would start to correct the non-Scott corrections which are pending. I do not want to step over Jim's foot.
Will wait till his Scott work is over and gives a green signal to attend the other corrections.
I would also appreciate a link to readme because we now segregate Scott and non-Scott corrections and handle them separately.

How about starting with pdf linking activity, for the easier "non-indexed" works that are cited just by page numbers?

As you are back now, why not have a look at the two small pieces of Scott's submissions (on roots), that I have left for you to comment upon?

Good idea -- Our non-Scott user submissions do need to be done, so the users know we
still value their suggestions.

I'm doing correction work related to MW and to AP, mostly based on work by Scott and Andhrabharati.
This currently involves touching repos
csl-corrections (but not cfr.tsv) and csl-orig , occasionally csl-pywork, etc.
As long as we both do 'git pull' before 'git add', we should be able to keep out of each other's way.

When this phase is complete, I'll bow out of the general correction work; I intend then to focus
solely on AP(57), as discussed briefly in sanskrit-lexicon/AP#3

AB's suggestion of the pdf-linking is a good longer-term project to return to,
as it provides a significant addition to the cdsl project.
There may be some new steps since your prior work on pdf-linking, which we can discuss when needed.

I have given my remarks on the first task. I would like Jim to install them at apropriate locations in MW as he is already processing MW and AP.

I will now handle corrections of users other than Scott which are from dictionaries other than MW and AP, so that there is no overlap and no tripping over.

I just recalled a most important task that needs to be done by Dhaval/Jim first.

To "appropriately" close the bulk issues at csl-orig repo (opened by Dhaval in Feb 2025) and a few daily lots (opened by Jim in May/June 2025), looking at what all were "handled" [i.e. posted by Scott] by Jim at issues 101, 102 & 104.

These are the quick counts of earlier Non-Scott issues (pending):

• batch 20250114 : 42 notscott.tsv
• batch 20250418 : 41 notscott.tsv
• batch 20251126 : 88 notscott.tsv

This would make the issue count number at csl-repo to look better to my eyes!

@drdhaval2785 Since I plan to be working with AP (sanskrit-lexicon/AP#3) and you plan to be working with the notscott files, we will need to coordinate our actions.

My suggestion is for you to handle these notscott files first, at least for the AP items.

• Follow the link to one of the notscott.tsv files.
• Then download the file.
• "tsv" stands for "tab-separate-values".
• A tsv file is just a text file, so can be viewed with a text editor. You could edit the file and change tabs to newlines.
• Or, you could import the file into excel or google sheets.
