Checking permission for multiple teams

I have a system in which a user can be part of one or more teams. Users who are a part of multiple teams can setup cross-team groupings of items. Because of the nature of these groupings, users should only be able to see these groups of items if they have the appropriate permission on each team in the group of items. Is it possible to easily check a permission for a group of teams?
