allow Simdex mothers to be an array

Currently, an exception is raised when the mothers have [x] in them.  The exception comes from the post processing, where the shortnames are used and a lookup is performed for the shortnames in a dictionary with their values.  

The best solution is probably to replace [ and ] by _ in the shortnames.
