Support

Scope

CDM Starter Kit is an open-source infrastructure starter kit for Azure customers and partners. This repository is not a Microsoft service and does not include SLA-backed production support.

How to Get Help

1. Documentation First

Start with:

  • README.md
  • docs/architecture.md
  • docs/faq.md
  • DEVELOPMENT.md

2. Open a GitHub Issue

For bugs and product questions, open an issue in this repository using the issue templates.

Please include:

  • Environment and deployment details
  • Reproduction steps
  • Expected vs. actual behavior
  • Error messages (sanitized)

3. Security Issues (Private Reporting)

Do not report security vulnerabilities in public issues.

Follow SECURITY.md and report privately to the security contact listed there.

Support Model

  • Community and maintainer best-effort support
  • No guaranteed response time
  • No production incident management
  • No Microsoft service-level commitments (SLA)

What Is Out of Scope

  • Customer-specific production operations
  • Tenant-specific deployment customization requests
  • Emergency/on-call support
  • Requests requiring internal Microsoft systems

Responsible Use

  • Deploy only to customer-owned Azure subscriptions
  • Do not commit secrets, credentials, tenant IDs, or subscription IDs
  • Validate changes with Bicep linting and PR checks before merge
