Vagrant: VirtualBox incompatibility with new Apple

VirtualBox is not supported on Mac M1/2/3 chips. I came across this problem with a personal mac air. Adding this to at least put a warning, but would love any help on alternativce means.

I love this doc, required reading for any mac, but other parts I'm finding out of date. This is my start to bug submission and follow up edits to help keep fresh and contribute
