Hi Team,
Has anyone tried the max current tweaks for Xiaomi 4 Pro Gen1 ?
I've been playing around and it seems that the max ampere settings are somehow ignored - as if there had been some additional cap preventing high power output.
I'm comparing the acceleration and max speed to the alternative controller for Pro4 Gen1 from aliexpress (the green-pcb Xbot/miniRobot).
Test condition:
-11s battery fully charged (standard + 1s in series)
-Xbot controller with shunt resistor modded (changed to 3 mOhm from 5 mOhm)
-Original controller flashed (st-link) with DRV022-NGFW. Maxed out amps setting, DPC, overspeed disabled etc.
Results:
XBot:
- Max amp measured up to 28A (external clamp amp meter)
- Good acceleration
- Max speed 35km/h (~34 GPS)
Original (NGFW)
- Poor acceleration
- Max speed, barely 28-29 km/h - takes ages to reach it.
- Freewheeling max speed 33 km/h (31 at 10s battery)
- Sadly I didn't measure the actual amps as I switched back to the Xbot ESC, but feels like 15-17A at most.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks in advance for hints and/or discussion.
