Suggestion: KJV italicized words

To be faithful with the original KJV text, we need to specify what words were added by the translators which are the italicized words.  

This is my solution: 

`"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness <i>was</i> upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."`

I want to implement this, but I need to find a tool to do the manual work for me.
