New plan - Unified video archive (December 16th 2020)

I came up with a new plan to have a unified video directory yesterday (Wednesday, December 16th 2020)
The plan is to unify the main video directory to contain videos across various hard drives, so that I can better know what videos I have and don't have, so I know what not to download again.
I will try and find time to build this new structure. It will be an extension to the current video directory structure.

Update: I have all my equipment ready, I plan on getting up nice and early tomorrow and booting up the server and working on it. I may work a lot less on GitHub today (I would have done actual programming today, as that was the original plan) as this server is going to take some time to navigate and structure. If it fails at step 6 (plugging in the 2nd server) I might have to quit the project for the day, and go back to the programming project. I will get to that eventually anyway. Sorry about the format of this message, I am really tired right now.

Update: Day 1

This project is taking longer than I thought it would. I feel like I am going to need 1-2 more days to finish, possibly more. I got to the black 4 terabyte external hard drive today, but didn't fully sort it. There is still a lot to do on the blue 4 terabyte hard drive, that is when I can pull lots of new data for this project.
I am going to need more time tomorrow for this project, and also possibly more time on Monday and Tuesday. So far, I got over 150 GiB of data today over a connection speed of less than ~25 MiB/s

Update: Day 2

This project is taking longer than I thought it would. Today, I had to add an extra day to the time, as I got the data out of the root of hard drive 1AC, but not the internal backup of hard drive 1AA, plus I still have to sort all the data. I will do that tomorrow.
I still have sorting to do as well. I got a lot more videos than yesterday today, and had to wait over 4 hours for the file transfer process. I also found some things that I have been looking for for quite some time, including my /seasonal channel logos/ directory.
Today, I copied over 352 GiB of data from 1 hard drive to another at the slow speed of 20.4 MiB/s to 22.9 MiB/s. I recently found my dongle that I lost, and I am hoping for a speed improvement tomorrow. I unplugged the old adapter to make sure I don't accidentally use it again tomorrow.
I currently expect this project to take 2 more days, or by Tuesday, December 22nd 2020, but I still might need more time.
There still isn't enough data included to do an update on GitHub, I expect to do that on day 4 (Tuesday, December 22nd 2020) unless there are some delays.

Update: Day 3

I finished the video copying part of the project today. Despite the dongle change, there was only a 1 megabit increase in transfer speed. I am still trying to figure out how to sort and organize the videos, some duplicates and incomplete libraries were found. Tomorrow should be the last day of the project for now, unless something else occurs.
