Avoiding double entries

We use SEEK to collect publications from researchers in our institute. The publications are fetched using the DOI of the respective publication. To avoid double entries a warning message appears when an author from a research group wants to add a publication already published within his own group. However if another co-author from a different group tries to register the same DOI, no warning message appears.

-> Is it possible to set up a warning message if the same DOI is registered within the entire SEEK instance? In the best case scenario the warning will also indicates a link to the already published entry to guide the researcher to the initial entry.
