Error 401

Hello. First of all, congratulations, this program looks amazing.
I think i have a bug somewhere... or not! I'm starting GIS...
I try to import the satellite imagery and this error appears:
"2024-10-31T09:41:02 WARNING Python error : An error has occurred while executing Python code: See message log (Python Error) for more details."
and the message:
" File "C:\PROGRA1\QGIS331.11\apps\Python312\Lib\urllib\request.py", line 639, in http_error_default raise HTTPError(req.full_url, code, msg, hdrs, fp) urllib.error.HTTPError: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized".

I put my NASA and Copernicus credentials, I don't think that's the error. The images appear, simply when I click on RUN, this error appears.

Can you give some advice? I'm just starting in this world... tks

About your issue, it could be a server issue or an installation issue.
In case it was a server issue, you can wait a few hours and try again.

However, I suggest to reinstall the plugin following these installation steps https://semiautomaticclassificationmanual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html (in case of installation issues, please try this alternative method of installation dependencies https://semiautomaticclassificationmanual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq.html#plugin-installation-4 ).

you can try to uninstall the SCP, then reinstall it.
If the SCP is loaded, please enable "Records detailed events in a log file" and copy the log file as described here https://semiautomaticclassificationmanual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq.html#how-can-i-report-an-error

Please repeat the search process, then open the tab Debug and click the button to export Recorded events in a log file , which is a text file containing information about the Plugin processes.

The error is related to authentication, therefore I suggest to check the username and password.
Also, you could try to search and download the product Sentinel-2_MLP (the same Sentinel-2 images, but from a different service that doesn't require authentication).

I have a similar error. On download I get an error: urllib.error.HTTPError: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized.

My install is a little different. I run Linux Mint 22 and can't install the python dependencies with PIP. PIP is not allowed. I also saw your alternative method using Mamba. The file manager does not recognize Mamba. I have seen some references to using Samba and Conda which I think is part of Anaconda.

I thought of maybe installing it as flatpak and got some instructions on how to do that so that is what I did. used flatpak to install qgis and the dependencies. It prompted me whether I wanted the current stable version of the long term release and I chose LTR. 3.28.9-Firenze was what was installed.

I see you recommend reinstalling the app and plugins, but my install is a little different. I alsh had qgis 3.4x installed before and got nowhere with the PIP issue. I then did uninstall and purge. At one point before I did the Flatpak install I did something and got a message saying that QGIS was already installed although it was nowhere to be found. I did read a discussion that some remnants might be left in a hidden file somewhere. So maybe that is the cause of something.

I copied and pasted the same login and passwords for the NASA/USG site and the Copernicus site that I log it to them. I was also to the search and find images in the time range I specified and viewed them.

I thought I'd post this here in hopes of both getting some good advice and provide some feedback on at least the Linux Mint situation.

I did search to see what versions of Linux allow PIP and didn't find much. I thought maybe make a live USB with that OS on it and QGIS with SCP on it might be another way.

The plugin looks like it does all sorts of great things and is just what I need to do what I want to do. There is a learning curve an I'm at the bottom. So far have spent a lot of time just with figuring out the install.
