Hanging on `electron .`

After running npm start, the application is not displayed. After checking Task Manager (running Windows 10 currently), there are three threads of Electron running, all consuming very low amounts of resources. I've cloned the demo and it works perfectly. All build tools are installed and are working fine! Any help with this is appreciated 👍

@micahlt if the demo is working but your application is not, you actually need to compare and debug yourself, or ask on a community, e.g. Stackoverflow.

Try running window.show() after vibrancy is set.

That did it! Thanks a lot 😊 Why does electron-acrylic-window require window.show()? My application worked fine without it when I wasn't using it. Just curious!

Originally, the window should be opened without window.show(), but after reading and testing this article, it seems that the window does not open automatically on some conditions. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'll fix it when I have time.

The window is originally hidden (no idea why) and then it uses a timeout of 100ms after the window is ready to show (what).

The window should be originally shown, use ready to show without timeout, or use another event. Because the timeout is constant, it seems like a hack here:

My guess is that the constant timeout maybe too short in some cases?
