can't disable the gesture scroll up or down

I would like to disable the gesture i.e dragging the arrow pointers up or down to change the values, Since using it in recycler view causes accidental dragging of the pointer. I have tried the attribute 
     "app:picker_disableGestures="true""
 but it hasn't disabled the gesture. Please provide a way to disable it. Thanks in advance. Hope you have a great day :)
