Stuck - When you hit "Play", its just "Launching" forever.

Describe the bug
After following the How to Use instruction (I did not press any check box). I finished it just fine. But now, after opening steam and pressing "play" its just stuck there, nothing is opening - even waited for an hour but nothing.

Tried opening paradox launcher. I was suddenly logged out? I pressed the "Select Directory" to point out the Stellaris folder. But it keeps on saying that the game does not exist in that directory.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Followed How to Use instruction.
2. Launched Steam
3. Pressed "Play" - stuck forever
4. Tried paradox launcher.
5. Found out I was logged out for some reason.
6. Still stuck (see screenshots)

Expected behavior
I am expecting the game to launch when opening it, but now its stuck

I also want to point out that the game was running smoothly before I used this.
