Key presses interrupting key held down

I'm new to Linux and Input Remapper. I managed to successfully remap my Razer Nostromo n52te, but I'm running (literally) into an issue. When I use the WASD keys to run about in Valheim, I find that clicking any other key completely stops the key I'm holding down. For example, if I'm holding down W to run straight and then click Space to jump, I don't continue running forward. The Space key has completely stopped the input from the W key.

Is there a way around this?

I have had the same problems with Valheim and Razer Tartarus.

I have had better luck binding keys to KEY_W vs key(w) for example. But I am still working out how to get chords like Shift+w working smoothly. I get the same stop-activity behaviour between key presses as you.

I may have found a solution. I enabled X-Box controller support in Steam and bound jump and run actions to their Valheim game controller inputs. (BTN_B and BTN_TL) So far, this is allowing me to jump and run without stopping between keys.

Thanks for checking back in with that solution. For me, the problem resolved itself after I started my system back up the next day. "Turn it off and turn it on again" FTW, I guess.
