Everything 1.5 support

Hi,

Wanted to check this out long time ago, finally I've started, but quickly got stopped 😂

It's probably because it's specifically looking for the service name Everything and not Everything (1.5a):

I've tried renaming the Display Name, didn't expect it to work, and it didn't 😂
sc config "Everything (1.5a)" displayname= "Everything"

Would be nice if both current and better new version could be supported in one library.

Thank you for opening this issue. I was not aware of the version 1.5 (alpha) of Everything until now.

From the forum thread you posted, it seems to me that Everything 1.5 uses a whole new communication layer, namely "named pipes". That is very good, because it's a better more reliable mechanism than before ("message windows"). But it also means that I will need to rewrite some portions of the library in order to make it work.

Ahh, I'm already testing it for around exactly 3 years I see 😅 It's really really good, especially the Content Indexing. But, only use it for small things as the entire contents of the file will be in memory, but for those the results are instant. Especially handy for searching in .cs files to see on what other tools/solutions you have used method 'x' or 'y', or nuget package when searching in .csproj.

That's very good news that it uses an improved/new communication layer.

I see there's a branch everything-1_5-support, but that it's not really started yet :)

Any estimation when it could be started?

This ticket is currently no priority for me. I have a lot of stuff which is more important for me right now. So, I don't know when I will be able to come around to this one.
