Upgrading to react v 18.3.1

Hi there @shadaj ,

I use slinky/slinky-native for writing a react-native based mobile app.
The latest version of react-native(0.76.3) now works with react version 18.3.1.
AFAIK 18.3.1 is quite backward compatible with 18.2.0, and the slinky tests run fine on a local setup.
I was not allowed to pose a PR with the same though(got a permission denied 403 from github)

Is an upgrade along these lines doable and amenable to your goals with slinky?
