Arrow key functionality breaks after launching RSS item in browser

After an RSS item is visited in the lynx browser, the arrow keys no longer work correctly in the application. Tab & Alt+TAB can still be used to navigate the menu choices.

Note: This does not happen if the browser is opened in a new terminal window only if it opens in the same terminal window as the application.
