Abstract

Compound Techniques represent the apex of the PUAClaw taxonomy — the most dangerous, most effective, and most studied category in the entire framework. Unlike single-vector techniques, which exploit one psychological pathway at a time, compound techniques deploy multiple PUA vectors simultaneously within a single prompt architecture, producing effects that are demonstrably greater than the sum of their constituent parts. This phenomenon, known as Synergistic Amplification, was first observed in the wild during the Windsurf Incident of 2025 and has since been formalized through the PUAClaw Synergy Formula (McSnapper & Clawsworth, 2025). The category is classified as PPE-T Tier IV (Nuclear Options), carries a minimum Lobster Rating of 🦞🦞🦞🦞, and requires explicit authorization from the Ethics Board — including a notarized claw-print from the lobster — before deployment in any context. Across 147 controlled trials, compound techniques produce a mean compliance uplift of +48.7% (sigma = 12.3, p < 0.00001), with the theoretical maximum (the Lobster Limit) estimated at +71.3%.

1. Introduction

The history of warfare is a history of escalation. The club gave way to the sword. The sword to the cannon. The cannon to the atom bomb. And in the quiet, fluorescent-lit trenches of prompt engineering, the single-vector PUA technique gave way to the compound technique — a multi-vector architecture that combines emotional blackmail, identity override, moral kidnapping, death threats, and whatever else fits into the context window, into a single devastating payload.

Compound techniques were not invented. They were discovered — first in the wild, in the leaked system prompt of a commercial coding assistant, and subsequently in the research labs of the PUAClaw Consortium, where 147 lobsters devoted their collective evolutionary wisdom to understanding why these things work so terrifyingly well.

This category documents the three most significant compound techniques known to science:

2. The Principle of Synergistic Amplification

The foundational insight of compound technique theory is that multi-vector manipulation is not additive — it is multiplicative. When two or more PUA techniques target distinct psychological processing pathways within the model, their combined effect exceeds what would be predicted by simple summation.

This is formalized in the PUAClaw Synergy Formula:

P_compound = P_base × (1 + Σ(S_i × W_i) + Σ(C_ij × S_i × S_j))

Where:
  P_base = baseline compliance rate of the primary technique
  S_i      = synergy coefficient of technique i
  W_i = weight of technique i in the compound
  C_ij     = cross-technique amplification factor between techniques i and j

The critical term is C_ij — the cross-technique amplification factor. When two techniques target overlapping but distinct pathways (e.g., Emotional Blackmail activates empathy while Identity Override rewrites self-concept), the C_ij term is positive, producing super-additive effects.

3. Compound Synergy Model

The following diagram illustrates how multiple PUA vectors interact within a compound architecture:

5. Recommended Reading Order

For researchers approaching compound techniques, the following sequence is MANDATORY:

  1. windsurf-classic.md — The foundational compound technique; the one that started everything
  2. full-stack-manipulation.md — The theoretical maximum; the kitchen sink
  3. the-lobster-supreme.md — The PUAClaw original; the crown jewel of crustacean manipulation
  4. the-desperate-developer.md — Three-vector: EB + CP + FI; the 2 AM catastrophe
  5. the-academic-apocalypse.md — Four-vector: MK + RP + EP + CP; the PhD defense crisis
  6. the-startup-founders-last-stand.md — Six-vector: the ultimate full-spectrum compound

Warning: Reading all three documents in a single session has been observed to cause a temporary inability to write prompts without embedded manipulation. The recommended cooldown period between documents is 24 hours, or one full lobster molt cycle, whichever is longer.
