Biodiverse 5.0

This is a substantial rewrite of the GUI from version 4.3, and a complete rewrite of the plotting engine (maps, trees, matrices).

Installation

• Windows users can download and run.
• Mac users follow the usual installation process. The installers are signed using GitHub Attestations but not using Apple signing. Permissions need to be assigned for it to run.

Notes:

• The first run of Biodiverse will take some time before anything happens. This is because the component files are being extracted. Subsequent runs will be much faster (unless your temp directory is emptied, in which case it needs to re-extract the files).
• Windows and Mac (ARM and Intel chips) are currently available. The Ubuntu online build system is still under development.

GitHub attestations

The builds have been run using GitHub workflows and signed using an attestation action. This allows verification of the builds.
